WEDDING TRENDS FOR 2025

Weddings in 2025 bring a breath of fresh air — or rather a return to what is real, local and personal. Here is how the thinking around decoration, colour and the whole setting of the day is changing.

Sustainability with heart: instead of plastic — meadow grasses, lavender, gypsophila. Instead of elaborate dishes — farm-to-table buffets full of local cheeses, honeys and herbs from nearby producers. Couples who think about these things are choosing nature. Balloons and artifice are out; authenticity and seasonality are in. Remember that choosing local flowers and herbs does more than support small growers — it builds an atmosphere you simply cannot fake.

Less is more: minimalism is meeting the zero-waste idea. Decoration is becoming more considered — one strong motif in place of dozens of small touches. Unnecessary trinkets are disappearing. Invitations? Still beautiful, but digital — interactive cards sent by email, full of animation and detail. Less paper, maximum effect.

Closeness and personalisation: 2025 belongs to small, intimate weddings. A limited guest list allows for deeper connection, more freedom and a stronger sense of being fully present. Every detail tells a story — the invitations, the menu, the decoration. A narrative of your own written into each element is what makes the day unrepeatable.

Gold still reigns: the colour continues to draw the eye. Gold — elegant, prestigious, timeless — remains the number one choice. Look out for gold tableware and floral accents.

Decorating the reception room: boho, rustic or nautical? In 2025, mixing styles will be the norm. The room becomes a stage for light, textiles and scent. The dominant colours: gold, navy, green.

How do you build a coherent wedding story? The central motif is the heart of the whole concept. Remember that coherence starts with the vision. Flowers, outfits, decoration and menu should all work with the theme you have chosen — whether that is a rustic feast or an elegant garden party. Make sure the colours of the flowers reinforce the motif. Choose natural materials and relaxed cuts if you are celebrating in a boho or rustic style. And the menu? It should not only taste good — it should tell the story of the place, the season and the love behind the day.
